Why windows system sometime takes time in booting?

Many of us have definitely faced, windows sometimes take too much time to boot than his usual time. A healthy windows OS takes a max of 20 to 25 seconds in booting and coming to the login screen, but sometimes it takes a bit long.

Several reasons and solutions for slow booting are below........

Startup Apps

Startup apps are the main cause for slow booting when our system boots it searches for the application to run and if there are too many apps to execute then obviously it will take time because searching and executing those programs takes time so it seems like windows are taking long to get start.

Solution

• Go to the task manager.
• Go to startup and remove unnecessary apps.

Insufficient hard drive space

This can be also a big reason for slow booting while booting OS, system face also requires some space and when there is insufficient hard drive space it took time to adjust himself and takes longer to start.

Solution

Remove unwanted data and files to get sufficient storage space or increase your hard drive space.

Scan disk and Defragment

Defragging is a simple process when file fragments are put together to speed up file access. Defragmentation assemble the free space into a single block to prevent future fragmentation

Solution

• Search for disk defragment.
• Analyze each and every disk by one then Optimize.

Outdated Drivers

We all know executing everything windows needs drivers.

Drivers are those who control a device. Every device, whether it be a printer, disk drive, or keyboard, must have a driver program. Many drivers, such as the keyboard driver, come with the operating system.

When these drivers are not updated it takes time to boot up your system. 

Solution

• Go to computer management(open run type compmgmt.msc & hit enter.)
• Go to Device Manager.

Or search for Device Manager.

• Check driver that needs to be updated and just right-click on the driver and select update driver.
• You can also check driver updates from Windows Update.
